HAPPY ENDING

Plot

Writer Yudi(Saif Ali Khan) wrote a hit five book 5 and half years ago and is enjoying his life in LA with every necessities he wants in his life(fame,money,girls) and surely not believing in commitments, doing party with his miserably married friend Montu(Ranvir Shorey) or having inner conversation with long bearded fat Yogi(himself). Suddenly Yudi's money runs out and his publisher dumps him out for hit romance novelist Aachal(Ileana D'Cruz) from Mumbai.

The only work now Yudi gets is from Bollywood's single screen star Armaan(Govinda) who wants to work in a movie having romance and comedy called Romedy.He insists him to copy some famous scenes from Hollywood as well. Meanwhile Yudi's dentist Visakha(kalki Koechlin) is pursuing him obsessively with lots of stupid activities like uploading bathing video of Yudi in her laptop and being so sticky which Yudi would always like to have distance from such relation. Montu and Yudi once broke into Visakha house to get that video while she is out and breaks the laptop instantly. On top of this he had to manage script for Armaan which was being difficult for him after five and half years.

Running away from commitments and his not surely Ex girlfriend, He tries to charm Aachal but she is commitment adverse too. Both being proffesional writer, Aachal warms up him to write with lots of inspirations and even agrees to take road trip to San Fransico for her book reading. Duo has fun singing some bollywood classics and at the moment Yudi dozed off and closely skips an accident and their car skids.while they wait for car repair, they pose sexily for the lift which they do not get eventually.

After a long trip they finally reaches San Fransico lately, as Aachal already had booked room in Hotel,couple are forced to share the same room due to full occupancy and agrees of making love with no any attachments as they both were commitment adverse. Their relationship goes funnier and at the last day of Aachal in LA, they argue over dinner and Yudi splashes Aachal's phone in water in result she douses him with water but neither expresses anything . Its only when Yudi's ex Divya(Priety Zinta) makes him feel about commitment and admit about his feelings towards Aachal.

By then, Yudi realises he must see off Aachal as she was leaving LA for India next day and rushes towards Airport and on the way he meets Aachal and says his feelings but she says Thanks, Lets just be friends and leaves with some disappointments.Yudi felt in some kind of depression and then starts to write. By then Visakha gets engaged in panic-struck  Yudi by falsely claiming that she is pregnant but breaks up with him by saying she dont want to get married with him of pity.

Armaan who's got himself an artificial six packs after surgery gets impressed with Kick-Ass script of Yudi .However for the scripts ending Yudi goes India to meet Aachal and expresses his feelings in words where he tells to care the relation in present and take is one a time and perhaps live their whole lives togeher like that.Aachal smiles and the Happy Ending starts
